GMAX0505 2.5 um 26 MP global shutter image sensor
The GMAX0505 is ideal for machine vision applications where both resolution and optical format are critical factors, utilizing a 2.5 μm global shutter pixel to deliver 26 MP resolution in a 1.1″ optical format, and a dynamic range of 60 dB at 150 fps. The sensor is pin compatible with the GMAX2505 and GMAX2509.

The 26MP GMAX0505 is pin compatible with the 5MP GMAX2505 and the 9 MP GMAX2509. All three sensors are designed with the same 2.5 μm global shutter pixel and identical sequencer operation, significantly reducing development cost and minimizing camera time to market for this c-mount compatible product family. Using advanced processing technology, the 2.5 μm global shutter pixel achieves 65% peak QE, excellent angle response, and a parasitic light sensitivity less than -80 dB. The sensor supports both 10bit operation for a maximum frame rate of 150 fps at <1.5 W, and 12bit operation for a dynamic range over 65 dB at <1.1 W. Multiplexing of the 48 pairs of sub-LVDS channels allows for optimization between speed and dynamic rage to suit the application. The 226-pin Land Grid Array ceramic package and protective tape on the cover glass facilitate efficient camera production. The sensor is available in both monochrome and Bayer versions to support use in a variety of applications including machine vision, QA inspection, intelligent traffic systems, and surveillance.
